I’m James Middleton — a choreographer, performer, and creative producer who loves bringing ideas to life through movement. For over a decade, I’ve worked across theatres, studios, festivals, and community projects, blending performance and choreography with a passion for making dance open and accessible to everyone.
I’m especially excited by pushing creative boundaries. A big part of my practice explores how dance connects with technology . For me, it’s about finding new ways for audiences to experience movement and inviting people into spaces where dance feels bold, unexpected, and inspiring.
My journey has taken me through live theatre, touring shows, television, and large-scale events, but also into smaller, community-driven projects where the focus is on connection and participation. I’ve choreographed productions, directed projects, and led workshops that give people of all ages the chance to move, create, and tell stories together.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — choreographer, performer, mentor, creative lead, and project manager — and I love the variety this brings. What ties it all together is a belief that dance is about people: bringing them together, building confidence, and creating experiences that stay with them.
My work is rooted in collaboration, storytelling, and inclusivity. Whether it’s a stage production, a community project, or an immersive digital experiment, I want every project to feel energetic, engaging, and unforgettable.
